Our Community

Parent & community support is always welcomed at Drillham State School.  This may take the form of:

  • Morning reading
  • P&C events including working bees and fundraisers
  • Tuckshop baking and preparing
  • Attendance at school and sporting events
  • Book week
  • Sports coaching
  • Under 8’s
  • Supporting school excursions and visits
All volunteers are required to read and sign the volunteer register in the office. All volunteers who do not have students at the school require a Working with Children blue card.

Drillham P&C

All parents and community members are welcome to join the Drillham State School P&C association. Members meet 3 times a semester on a Tuesday from 3:30pm in the classroom as advertised in the school newsletter. Membership forms are available upon request at the school office.
 
The P&C supports the school through reviewing policies and procedures; fund raising, working bees; tuckshop; ordering uniforms; and other activities that improve the learning and learning environment for our students. 

School Council

As part of our IPS commitment Drillham State School school council was formed in 2017.  the council is comprised of elected representatives from staff, parent body and community.  The council meets 4 times a year. 
 
The purpose of the council is to support the strategic direction of the school and approve policies, procedures and key documents.
