Transport

For parents dropping off students, we encourage all parents to park nose towards the school, in the nominated parking bays and walk their children to the gate.  The road directly in front of the school is a one way road to increase safety for students.
Most students who attend Drillham State School travel on one of the three bus services (north, south and highway) that service the school. Parents need to contact the bus owners direct to arrange pick up along the route.  Please contact the school for more information.  Buses arrive from 8:12am in the morning and depart from 3:20pm in the afternoon
Parents must notify the school prior to 10am if a student’s normal means of transport from the school is to change.  Notification is essential to ensure student safety.  If staff are unsure of travel arrangements students will be sent home via normal means or kept at the school until parents are contacted.  If travel arrangements are to change on a regular basis, parents are required to provide written advice, including names and phone numbers to staff.

Please refer to the Queensland Department of Transport’s code of conduct in relation to behavioural guidelines for school students travelling on school buses.
